Tightening your tail tidy hinge
- Flip the tail tidy over to see the back of the hinge
- You'll find two Philip head screws
- If these are loose, the bracket can swing freely on its own
- Tighten both screws with a Philip head screwdriver — this pulls the hinge tight so the bracket stops swinging
- Wiggle test the bracket once tightened — it should sit stiff with no movement
Still a bit flappy? We advise running a 7x5" plate and mounting your plate as high as possible for extra stiffness.
Still no good? Might be time for a new hinge — grab a replacement here.
